How we do installations

Project Evaluation

At Irrigation Charest, we assess the costs of your project based on your needs and requirements, completely free of charge. This allows us to first evaluate the feasibility of your project based on your desired budget and also determine the scope and type of installation required to meet those needs.

We offer several types of installations other than irrigation and automatic watering systems, such as professional lighting systems, fertilizer injectors, wells, automatic insect repellent sprayers, and rainwater collectors.

Plumbing

First, we need to determine the number of zones required, the amount of water needed for each zone, and the size of the pipes to be used. Approximately 50% of the pipes installed are 1 in. in diameter, while the others, measuring 1/2 in. and 3/4 in. in diameter, will be used for fan sprays.

All these calculations are performed by computer and checked manually to ensure that your new automatic irrigation and watering system is working properly.

During installation, all pipes will be buried at a depth of approximately 6 inches so that you can dethatch or aerate your lawn if you wish. Sprinklers will be placed so that they overlap, ensuring that all areas of your landscaping are watered. A double-flap check valve will also be installed on the indoor water supply connection.

Electricity

The external current supplied to the electric valves is only 24 volts, and the connections are made using a special connector that makes it waterproof, preventing water and moisture from passing through.

The Rain Bird® computer can be installed wherever you choose: in the garage, shed, basement, etc. It simply needs to be installed near a 110-volt power outlet. The computer can be programmed in several ways and has a chip that, in the event of a power failure, maintains the time and programming of your system, so it will not be affected by the outage.

A moisture sensor or rain sensor can also be installed. This sensor is used to determine your lawn's water needs. In short, if your lawn needs water, the system will water it and automatically stop once the appropriate moisture level has been reached. Simple and effective!

Replacement

At Irrigation Charest, we care deeply about the aesthetics and cleanliness of our work. That's why we install sprinklers that don't interfere with your lawn mowing and suggest systems tailored to your needs, such as drip irrigation for your flower boxes, fan sprays for your trees and shrubs, and aquapores for your cedar hedges.

What's more, we can do the job just as well if your lawn is already in place. You will hardly notice that your automatic irrigation and watering system has been installed. Everything is carefully put back in place: grass, stone and paving stones, geotextile fabric, plants, etc. After just a few days, there will be no trace of the work. The site will be as clean as it was before the work began.

Our experienced team is fully qualified in the event that we are forced to remove and reinstall stones or paving in order to properly lay all our pipes.
